HistoPad Augmented Visits are immersive 3D experiences designed to enhance the discovery of cultural heritage sites, museums, and historical monuments. Through a tablet featuring augmented reality content, visitors can travel back in time and explore faithful 3D reconstructions of places and eras long gone.
Challenge
The interface faced several usability issues. My role was to streamline the user experience, making navigation more intuitive and efficient. I was also asked to redesign the visual identity in order to improve clarity and ensure the immersive 3D content remained the focal point of the interface.
Process
I conducted an audit of the existing product, identified pain points through user testing, and redefined the user flows to enhance overall usability. I then explored multiple iterations of the interface components, refining each one to arrive at the most effective and user-friendly design system.
